Inventory Manager – Keeping Your Customers In The Know

The past few years have seen no shortage of changing customer habits. One of the most radical shifts is the notion that price is no longer in the front seat of customer purchasing decisions. Instead, customers are equally (if not more) interested in – “When can I actually have this product in my home”.

As more Millennials get into the housing market, home improvements have become over 200% more popular since 2020. Within these renovation projects, new appliances are a must – out with the old, in with the new.

With this in mind, we wanted to create an easy to use, Trade Partner friendly inventory system that can effectively communicate delivery expectations to the customer. Gone are the days of customers wondering when they’re going to get their products. Now, thanks to Inventory Manager, they’ll know on a SKU-by-SKU basis when products will realistically deliver to them. Additionally, it’s a straightforward and easy process to upload your own on-hand inventory too!

Updating Your Pricing Just Got Easier

Pricing Manager was created to refine and streamline the most important elements of the Whirlpool Advantage program. We had received feedback from Trade Partners asking why can’t they just simply upload their own pricing sheet, which started to get our Creative Guild wheels turning.

With this in mind, we built Pricing Manager, which will serve as your hub for uploading and updating your product prices. In fact, we’ve built Pricing Manager into the same dashboard as Inventory Manager!

In 2022, 18% of US customers reported that they would purchase the higher-priced product if that product had better product images or videos. From the seller’s end, companies report sales increases of up to 10% due to enhanced content.

Aside from the obvious aesthetic value (pretty pictures = better pictures, pretty videos = better videos), the higher the quality of content, the more informed a customer can be. The more information you can bestow on a customer, the more confident a customer will be in their purchasing decisions.

Broadly speaking, enhanced content can be defined as “product information that has been expanded and enriched beyond the basic data”. Leveraging Whirlpool’s content, we’ve been able to bring in a myriad of enriched data that will continue to make the Whirlpool Advantage program compete with big box stores for many years to come.

Fresh Out of the Oven

Among the ranks of highly requested features that trade partners have been asking for, product comparison has been a constant. We’re proud to announce that, yes(!), we have officially launched a wonderfully information rich, yet easy to use, product compare tool. We’re excited for your customers to use this directly on the BigCommerce platform, and hear the great ways you’ve used it on the sales floor too.

Another popular ask from trade partners has been the ability to add SKUs labeled as Status 20, 40, and 50 onto storefronts. Well, wouldn’t you know it, we’ve launched this feature too! You are now able to sell Status 50 (Clearance) SKUs, list Status 20 (Pre-order) SKUs, and Status 40 (Active) SKUs.
