Project Manager

As Project Manager you’ll be asked to:

  • manage projects from conception to post analysis, across a number of functions including strategic planning, branding, graphic design, web builds, ad campaigns and media buys
  • build detailed briefs, estimates, identify tasks, activities, and deliverable milestones as well as the documentation of the resulting plan
  • work in partnership with the account leads and clients to onboard new projects, clarify their scopes and identify appropriate resources that match the right skills to the task at handprovide solid recommendations on timelines and budgets for all projects
  • ensure projects are tracking on time, within scope and on budget
  • report on project financials to account lead and senior leadership
  • identify areas of potential risk as well as identify and implement risk mitigation strategies on all assigned projects
  • work with project teams to understand and manage expectations of both internal and external clients at the project level
  • identify and establish project management best practices on your accounts, and drive collaboration across specialty teams
  • proactively suggest new ways to streamline processes
  • develop project status reports and workbacks
  • run status report meetings with the internal teams as well as clients
  • attend client kick off and status meetings and participate in scoping sessions
  • communicate meeting objectives to project team members, ensuring efficient scheduling and appropriate agenda and recap documentation standards are met
  • actively support new business activities
  • demonstrate strategic problem solving and conceptual thinking on client projects
  • work as a strong “team player” and serve as role model to more junior team members
  • build & maintain strong and lasting relationships with new & existing clients
  • assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  • provide feedback and suggestions for improvement to senior staff

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of related experience in project management in an integrated environment; ideally from a digital, PR, marketing or advertising agency
  • experience in client service and day-to-day client contact
  • a demonstrated ability to address client concerns thoughtfully and effectively
  • ability to manage project budgets, and experience adapting to project management & budgeting software
  • a demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful projects
  • experience with effectively delegating and/or executing many tactical assignments
  • exceptional written and presentation skills
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset
